How much honey should we consume every day?
Honeybee should not be given at all to children under one year because they are sensitive to certain microorganisms which may develop in honey; it is true, in some extremely rare situations, these microorganisms may cause serious diseases (to which adults are immune)
Children between 1 and 3 years old are given 2-4 small spoons of honeybee per day, and the ones between 3 and 6 years are given 4-6 small spoons of honey per day.
Children over six years may consume up to 8 small spoons of honey bee per day, teenagers should eat up to 15 small spoons of honey per day (equivalent to 70g)
Adults-20 small spoons of honey per day (the equivalent of 100g)
Honey is recommended as a therapeutic and a prophylactic method if it used as daily dose of 80g which may be increased up to 120g. It may be consumed along with lemon juice or with rose berry as an energizing agent.
Honey diluted in water (a spoon of honey in a cup of water) is recommended to be drunk in the evening, before going to bed; it has great effects in controlling insomnia, constipation and in detoxifying your body.
Infants may consume honey?
