Venin

Bee venom is a liquid produced and kept by bees inside some special glands and is deposited in a copulatory pouch; its content is injected through the stinger (altogether with the vesicle) when they are in danger. There may be some differences as far as the venom’s quality is concerned which depend on bees’ food and age, season and species.

Bee venom is a very complex organic substance composed of toxic proteins, lipids, organic acids, essential oils, minerals and water. It is a clear liquid, dense and soluble in water. It dries at an ambient temperature within about 20 minutes.

Is a natural anti-inflammatory agent:
It has been demonstrated that bee venom has great anti-inflammatory properties. Bee venom has a therapeutic effect because it contains melittin, an efficient anti- inflammatory agent. Melittin stimulates the producing process of cortisol, an anti-inflammatory hormone. At the same time melittin has antibacterial properties, as it stimulates the anti-body producing process and the immune system, italso improves microcirculation. Bee venom therapy has miraculous effects in treating osteoarticular diseases, both in the acute forms (arthritis, osteoarthritis) and in degenerative ones (arthrosis).

Recommendations:
Tratamentul cu venin de albine este poate chiar mai vechi şi mai faimos decât tratamentul cu miere, în Bee venom therapy is perhaps older and more famous than apitherapy concerning inflammations, surgical malady of the external blood vessels, inflammatory non-purulent infiltrations, asthma, high blood pressure, non-visceral hyperthyroid, without involving cardiac complications.

The best results are acquired in treating neurological diseases (neuritis, neuralgia, muscular infection). We can also observe interesting results in treating climacteric neurosis (menopause), infectious diseases of the eyes.

Administration: only under medical supervision.

Be careful:
From the physiological point of view, bee venom’s effects are toxic. There is no antidote against bee venom. It shouldn’t be used unless it’s medically recommended and supervised.
